How do I set up an external microphone on my PC?
For Windows:
To ensure that your microphone is recognised, connect the microphone to your PC and open the Control Panel.
Here you will find the menu “Manage Audio Devices” under the category “Hardware and Sound”. Now you only need to select the corresponding microphone and click on “OK”.
In addition, you can click on the button “Set as default” under the tab “Recording” to set the selected microphone as the default recording device.
For macOS:
To make sure that your microphone is recognised, connect the microphone to your PC and open the system settings.
Here you will find the menu “Sound” under the category “Settings”.
Under the “Input” tab, select the option “Sound input” next to “Use audio port for”.
For Linux:
Open the activities overview and type in “Audio”.
Click on “Audio” and select the corresponding device in the “Input” tab.
